Today we are introducing Wednesday’s Workouts and what better workout than to start off with something called a Fartlek.
Here is a tough run workout called a Fartlek, which means “speed play” in Swedish
Warmup 1 mile
3 x (1 minute hard by 3 minutes easy + 1 minute hard by 3 minutes easy + 1 minute hard by 4 minutes easy) sets.
Cool Down 1 mile
The 1 minute hard sessions should be done at 80% of your max effort. They are not sprints, but they are really fast bursts. When doing them try to focus on your form and focus on your breathing.
Remember: Focus on your form, focus on your breathing
Give it a go and see how you do. You will really look forward to that 4 minute rest at the end of the set.
