prAna Revolution Mat Holder is a large capacity yoga mat bag specifically designed to house the new wider prAna Revolution Natural Sticky Mat.

The bag is made out of 100% heavy duty cotton canvas, has a wide strap for carrying, which is extremely comfortable.  The prAna Revolution Mat Holder has both a drawstring top and zippered side entry, which makes it convenient for loading the larger prAna Revolution Mat.  There is a front zippered pocket that will hold quick access items such as keys or a phone.  There is also a smaller zippered pocket that is big enough to hold an iPhone, although I probably wouldn’t put one in that location.

When prAna came out with their wider prAna Revolution Natural Sticky Mat, there was an immediate demand for a larger bag that would hold it.  Normal yoga bags are too small to hold the larger mat, so prAna devised the Revolution Mat Holder.

The bag comes in two colors Espresso and Black Flower.  PrAna sent me the Black Flower bag to review.  Since the bag is of a canvas material, it is extremely durable.  The bag has 3 reinforced straps circling the bag for extra strength.  The bottom has some extra cushioning to protect the mat when the bag is standing.  There is a large pocket on the front, which is big enough to hold multiple small items such as keys, a phone and maybe a fitness bar.  There is also a pocket located on the strap which can hold extra items if needed, but I find that location not as useful.  The strap doesn’t adjust, which could be a problem for some people.  When I loaded the mat into the bag, I found I didn’t need to adjust the strap.  I did find loading the prAna mat much easier using the zippered side option vs the drawstring top load option.  The top is very useful for stuffing a towel or extra cloths into the bag.

The prAna Revolution Mat Holder retails for $50, but I have recently seen it on a closeout sale at REI for $25.
