Oatmeal Banana Cookie Oh So Good
The Oatmeal Banana Cookie Recipe was a huge hit at some of the parties I brought them to. People really liked the cookies and were constantly asking for the recipe. The oatmeal banana cookie recipe makes roughly 22 plump bites.
Each Oatmeal Banana Cookie is Engine 2 compliant, meaning no oils or dairy is used.
Oatmeal Banana Cookie Recipe
- 3 ripened bananas
- 3 cups cooking oats
- 1/3 cups non-sweetened applesauce
- 1/4 cups mini semi-sweetened chocolate chips
- 2 Tablespoon pure maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
**Note: You can add in any dried fruits or nuts in place of the chocolate chips the the oatmeal banana cookie recipe or add say dried cranberries or nuts to go along with the chocolate chips. I found the cranberries actually added some nice flavor to the mix.
Roughly 80-90 calories per cookie
- With a food processor, grind down 1 cup of the oats until they are a fine powder (consistency of flour) and set aside.
- Peel the bananas.
- Either with a food processor grind down the bananas until they have a pulp consistency or mash them by hand.
- Add the rest of the ingredients to the bananas and mix well with a spoon
- Use a large cookie scoop and place on a parchment lined pan. Smash just a bit with the bottom of a cup (they will stay whatever shape you put them).
- Bake in a 325 degree oven for 10 minutes. Remove and cool on racks

I just love the chewiness of the oatmeal banana cookie recipe. The small amount of chocolate chips doesn’t hurt the calorie count, but adds a tiny taste of sweetness in each bite and compliments the bananas well!
