Hi Tom.
I have a chef knife and a paring knife from kyocera. With those two I cut about 90% of the food everyday, so in a sense they did replace my other knives. Cutting a frozen food is quite difficult, even with a steel knife. Also I don’t remember when was the last time that I used a knife to pry something.
